These cartridge inserts fit nice and tight in the strut housing. A little work with a file was needed but that was not bad at all. The struts work great with the HR Sport Springs lowered about 1.25" on my VW Rabbit, almost as if they were sold as a matched set. I will likely be buying the rears as well once the current shocks are bad.
