This thing is amazing. It lets you put your rope in the washing machine without it getting all tangled up afterwards. Saved me a ton of time as a rock climber. According to the rope manufacturer's instructions, I put it in the wash on a gentle cycle without soap. It comes out reasonably clean, involving basically no effort on my part.As a word of caution, this works a lot better with front-loading washing machines than top-loading ones. With the top-loading kind, the machine may get thrown off balance as the rope is inevitably bunched up on one side of the impeller. If you have a top-loading machine, you can try to find the front-loading kind at a laundromat.
